Do You Really Want To Work From Home?

I think it is some where around 95% of people trying and engaging in work at home activities online never make a dime. This is a very large percentage and shocks most individuals. All you see all over the web is how easy it is to make big money yet the majority go broke trying. There are ways to beat the odds and make great income for you and your family, but you must be willing to dedicate yourself to the cause for better or worse.

There are lots of different areas in the work from home field. The hottest arena now seems to be freelance writing. This is writing articles, blog post, and eBooks for someone else. I have heard many people stating how lucrative this area is, but I just can’t see anyone making a fortune doing this. Writing is a very important part of the online world. Fresh content is the life blood of SEO and eBooks are still being sold for profit. The problem is that there are so many competitors in this field that you can have quality articles written by freelance writers for $1. Now I am not a math wiz but that is a lot of article writing to make a living, much less a fortune.

I am not saying that freelance writing is a bad thing; it is just a hard way to make a lot of cash. If you are looking for some extra money and you love to write then this is your heaven. The point I always argue to any newbie wanting to work at home is why write articles for a $1 when you can market affiliate products for much more. I mean if you are going to spend all day writing articles, why not write them for your own blog that is marketing some affiliate products, or write them about different products and websites that you are affiliated with and submit them. If you are kicking out 10 articles a day, 5 to your blog and 5 to article directories, I would say your return would be far greater than $1 an article with all the affiliate sales you will generate.

You see it is the way you approach working at home that is important. The odds are against you, but the odds are distorted because people write articles for $1 instead of building a business. You must build a online presence, a business that will generate that huge income you really want, not follow some plan to do freelance writing for $1 an article. Write for yourself and build a website recruiting writers. Then let them write for a dollar for you while you submit the articles and cash in on affiliate sales from the traffic. This is the type of mindset you must develop in order to succeed working from home. Don’t be a person that follows the hot trends and ends up a statistic. There are a lot of different areas to working at home, but they all have the same goal for you which is making money. Focus on what other people are doing and figure out how to make it a business, not a job.
